About Maxwell Food Centre
Maxwell Food Centre is a historic hawker centre located in the heart of Chinatown/Tanjong Pagar. Built in 1986, it has become one of Singapore's most iconic food destinations, attracting both locals and tourists alike.
The centre is most famous for Tian Tian Hainanese Chicken Rice, which has been featured in numerous food shows and was visited by Anthony Bourdain. The queue can stretch for over an hour during peak times, but locals swear it's worth the wait.
