Old Airport Road Food Centre is a legendary hawker centre built on the site of Singapore's former Kallang Airport. With over 150 stalls, it's one of the largest hawker centres in Singapore and a pilgrimage site for serious foodies.
The centre is famous for its char kway teow — multiple stalls compete for the title of "best CKT," with Lao Fu Zi and Dong Ji being perennial favourites. The rojak here is also exceptional, with stalls using traditional recipes passed down through generations.
Unlike CBD hawker centres, Old Airport Road maintains a distinctly local, neighbourhood feel. It's less touristy and offers some of the most authentic hawker experiences in Singapore.
